Use of Prednisone as a drug
Prednisone is an active metabolite which is being used as a drug. The other use of it is as eye drops. prednisone is a drug which is very much effective while applied as a drug with immunosuppressant qualities. Besides, it is a form of corticosteroid drug. Certain inflammatory diseases such as some allergic reactions of moderate type are being cured with the help of prednisone. Its higher dose is given to the cancer patients too. At the same time it is noticed that its use in treating different type of ailments has some adverse effects too. Because it causes the suppression of the immune system, its frequent use makes a patient more prone to the infections.
